Character Creation Template

Sun Apr 13, 2008, 5:36 PM
Please use this template to describe and set up your character for the #HeroComplex RP room.

Name: Character's Name Here

Race: Character Race; Human, Elf, Katheni, etc.

Gender: M/F. If you need this one explained, you need serious help.

Age: Character Age. This is important because the Nine Races age physically at differing rates, and a seven-year-old boy cannot be a full fledged Epic Hero. He wouldn't even be an Apprentice until ten years old. Etc.

Hero/Villain Affiliation: Hero, Villain, Peasant, or Mercenary
Heroic/Villainic Name, if applicable: For Heroes, this is an adjective followed by a noun, such as the Crimson Shadow, the Iron Bear, or the Sneaky Cricket.
For Villains, it is their first name, followed by a sinister-sounding name that describes them or their activities. For example, a man whose name is Malcolm Sykes that is a Villain Necromancer could be called Malcom Fleshreaper, or something similar.

Physical Description: Description of Character's attributes like eye color, body build, hair color, fur, scales, or feathers if applicable, clothing, etc.

Supernal/Supernatural abilities, if any: Abilities other than standard Heroic strength, speed, and magic. Not required, as most characters do just fine without them. Something like seeing the future or shapeshifting would fall into this category. (Only list if this is done naturally or without the aid of spells. Anyone with enough skill in magic can cast a Vision or Shift Shapes spell.)

Preferred weapon/fighting style: Your Character's weapon of choice, from swords to crossbows to scythes. If he or she practices some particular discipline of martial art, list it here as well.

Story: Your Character's personal history, whatever it may be. Running from the Law. Working for the Law. Raised to Uphold the Law by an obscure order of Paladins. Rasied writing down the Law by a secret enclave of lawyers. ANYTHING important about your character's past goes here. And for the Gods' Sakes, PLEASE use complete sentences!

That is all. Submit the completed character under the Character Creation and Posting link. DO NOT post it here. Thank you!

"This is the last time, Green. We can't have famous Heroes such as yourself pulling this kind of stunt," said the aging man behind the desk. His blond hair was tinged with grey, as was his short, neatly-trimmed beard. He sat in a wheelchair behind the heavy oak desk, drumming his fingers on the surface of the latter. There was a tired expression in his blue eyes as he scolded the young Hero before him. The Hero in question shrugged. "It was just a girl, Guardian. It was totally consensual, and she was having just as much fun as I was," he said, flipping the curly black hair out of his eyes. The younger man wore clothes of varying shades of green, and a jaunty, robin-hood style cap with a black feather in the top. A pair of knife-sheaths adorned his sides. "I don't see what the..." "Problem is?" Guardian finished for him, wheeling out from behind the desk to glare at him. "Green, it's always 'just a girl' or 'just a few gold pieces' or 'only one priceless artifact.' Frankly, I tire of your irresponsible actions and all the cleanup I have to do to make sure you don't get arrested." The older man sighed. "That's why I have decided on a measure to calm you down." The man called Green frowned. "Aww, come on, Guardian, don't suspend me from the Guild again! There's so much good I can do!" he said, dropping down onto one knee to look into the old man's eyes. "Please? I promise not to do anything stupid like that again." Guardian shook his head. "You said that last time, Green. But I won't suspend you. In fact, I have quite the opposite in mind. I have a new Quest in mind for you. With one caveat." Guardian, Guildmaster of the International Guild of Heroes, pressed a button on his desk. "Saliriana, send in the boy," he ordered, then turned back to Green. "You'll be taking an apprentice with you."

Outside in the main hall of the Guild headquarters, a smiling Elven woman sat at a reception desk, talking with patrons as she sorted paperwork into several stacks and began casting Bind Paper on them to keep the stacks together. Her work and talk were interrupted by a call from the office. "Yes sir," she replied. "Okay, sweetie, Guardian will see you now," the Cheerful Elf said to the elven youth sitting outside the office. "Just don't say anything about his wheelchair, and you should be fine, hun. Have fun!" She waved gently, then turned back to the minotaur at the desk. "I'm sorry sir, but Heroes don't expel miners from caves, even if it was your cave to start with. You'd have to talk to the Bryath County Department of Lands for that..." Skyward57
